Szuperliga | Botoșani-ban lépünk pályára az első győzelemért

We travel to Botoșani for the Round 7 Superliga match, still hoping for our first win.

FC Botoșani and FK Csíkszereda have never faced each other before, which is no surprise, since this is our first season in the Superliga, while the hosts have remained in the top flight since 2013. In their six matches so far, Botoșani have claimed two victories, both against teams we have already played: a 3–1 home win against FC Argeș in Round 5, and an emphatic 4–0 over Slobozia, the team that handed us that memorable 1–6 in the second round. They also registered two draws: a goalless one against Dinamo (from whom we earned our only point in Round 1), and a 3–3 against CFR Cluj, who are going through a crisis period. Their only defeat came away at Giulești, against Rapid. In six games, they have scored 12 goals and conceded seven.

Head coach Róbert Ilyés is not expecting an easy match this time either. “We play against a team that doesn’t give away points at home. They are a solid side, with an aggressive coaching style, physically strong players who often win duels. We know these are tough games, no matter the opponent, and we have to be present on the pitch. We still carry the frustration of our last defeat, but we’ll try to stay positive and make the most of this match” – said the coach at the pre-match press conference.

Efraim Bödő pointed out that the team knows it will be a difficult challenge. “We are playing against an aggressive team, away from home, which adds to the difficulty. However, in our last match against Craiova, our performance was encouraging, and seeing the team’s attitude this week and the hard work put in, I really hope it will pay off” – said the young midfielder.

The arrival of Lóránd Pászka was immediately felt on the pitch against Craiova. “We’ll give everything we have. We watched the opponent on video, we analyzed them. They are a good team, but we are well prepared too, and we will go there with courage and a positive spirit, to bring back the three points from Botoșani” – emphasized the player.

The match kicks off on Saturday at 18:45 at the Municipal Stadium in Botoșani, and will be broadcast live on Digisport 1 and Prima Sport 1. For those wishing to follow the team on site, a supporters’ bus will be available. Registrations can be made with Tamás László “Egér” at the phone number 0743-314 314.
