For the Romania U20 national team, which played two home friendly matches against the Czech Republic, Máté Simon received a call-up. Our goalkeeper played in the second match, where Romania suffered a 5–1 defeat. In the first encounter, Adrian Iencsi’s side drew 2–2.
Efraim Bödő was called up to the Romania U19 national team for a domestic training camp that included two friendly matches against Cyprus. In the first match, where Bödő started, the team in yellow won 3–1. In the second, where he came on in the 70th minute, Cyprus won 2–1.
Lóránd Bencze and Darius Bota faced tough official matches with the U17 national team in the Euro 2026 qualifying group hosted by France. The side coached by Mircea Diaconescu drew 1–1 with both the hosts and Israel, and defeated Azerbaijan 5–1. With these results, Romania finished second and advanced to League A, from which the Euro finalists will be decided. Bencze played the full match against Azerbaijan after coming on as a substitute against Israel, while Bota featured for one half against Israel, around 70 minutes versus Azerbaijan, and came on in the 64th minute against France.
The U16 national team, featuring Zsolt Jánosi, travelled to Germany for two friendly matches, both ending in heavy defeats, 0–7 and 2–8. Our player came on at halftime of the second game, playing in the forward line.
