On Saturday, the team coached by Ilyés Róbert played a friendly match against Polish top-flight side Arka Gdynia. Although our opponents went into the break with the lead, Dusinszki’s goal in the second half secured the equaliser.

The Polish side, currently wintering in 12th place in an 18-team league, started the match aggressively, with Perea receiving a yellow card as early as the 3rd minute. The first real chance came in the 11th minute, when a quick attack down the left ended with a dangerous effort. In the 17th minute, following a set piece from the left, Kamil Jakubczyk found the bottom left corner to give Arka the lead (0–1).

Arka remained the more dangerous side. In the 31st minute, Végh Bence “equalled” only in terms of yellow cards. Four minutes later, new signing Kavashi, the Kosovar-Swiss defender Kabashi brought down Gutkovskis as the last man, but the red card was spared, and the free kick from 17 metres was missed. In the 42nd minute, Végh picked up his second yellow card and was also dismissed, Dusinszki coming on in his place (in friendly matches, sent-off players can be replaced). Just before the break, in the 45th minute, Jakubczyk was shown a red card as well for a high boot.

The second half started with another booking, as Oliveira fouled Anderson. Anderson was close to scoring in the 53rd minute, but his curling shot flew inches over the crossbar. In the 56th minute, Kavashi received a yellow card for deliberate handball, and three minutes later Bloj was also booked. The equaliser finally came in the 67th minute: after a corner from the right, the Polish defence cleared only as far as Dusinszki, whose 18-metre shot found the net (1–1).

In the closing stages, both teams focused more on defending, and the occasionally tense encounter ended in a draw. The visitors were better before the break, while our team dominated after half-time. Next up is Monday’s friendly against Azeri side FK Zyra.
