FK Csíkszereda’s women’s team has arrived in Turkey and started preparations for the play-offs. Head coach Szilvia Szeitl spoke about the conditions in Belek, the professional objectives and the importance of the friendly matches.
She emphasized that the team’s objective remains unchanged, as they continue to work toward winning the championship title. According to the coach, the club has provided excellent preparation conditions. – In Belek the conditions are suitable for preparing for the play-off, the weather, the pitches and the hotel facilities all support the hard work. We aim to repay this opportunity by fighting for the championship title with the best of our abilities – she said.
Speaking about the training camp programme, she explained that the first phase focuses on two daily training sessions. – At the beginning we work on technical and tactical elements and increase physical fitness. In the second half of the camp, the matches will provide the necessary workload for the players – Szeitl detailed.

Regarding the team atmosphere, she highlighted that the group is united and motivated, even though the players are very tired, which is natural at this stage of preparation.
Two players are missing from the training camp squad, Andrea Herczeg and Anna Nyéki, who continue their rehabilitation in order to return to the team as soon as possible. – Apart from our two long-term injured players, everyone is present at the training camp – the head coach said.
Friendly matches
The Belek programme also includes three international friendly matches. – We managed to arrange international matches that represent real challenges for the girls and support our preparation work. Our team will face the Indian national team on 7 February, the Uzbekistan national team on 10 February, and Germany’s Bezirksliga side FC Rhenania 1920 Lohn on 12 February – explained Szilvia Szeitl.
A key task of the training camp is integrating the two newly arrived players into the squad so the team can begin the play-offs in the best possible lineup. – The goal is for everything to be perfect in Cluj on 22 February. The new signings have made a good impression on us. They work hard, have the right mentality and will be useful members of the team – she stressed, adding that further details will be announced later by the club.

The four-team championship play-off of the Women’s Superleague resumes on 22 February, when our team will play its first match in Cluj against Universitatea.
