FK Csíkszereda’s U15 girls’ team began the new Women’s Elite League season with a victory, defeating Politehnica Iași 1–0 away from home. The only goal of the match was scored by Zvenyák Johanna.
The girls from Miercurea Ciuc started confidently and controlled possession well, but despite creating several chances in the first half, they lacked precision in front of goal. At halftime, the coaching staff called for greater focus and more shots on target, and the team responded accordingly after the break. Their dominance was eventually rewarded with a well-struck long-range effort that secured all three points.
After the final whistle, head coach Portik Helga expressed her pride in the team, highlighting their fighting spirit and hard work throughout the match. She emphasized that the more focused performance in the second half made the difference and added that the team will continue working hard as they prepare for the next fixture.
