Tuesday’s midday match at the Burus Csaba Sport Park started with home chances through Papp and then Tóth-Pál Előd. In the 20th minute, Gergely Alpár – coming down from the SuperLiga squad – converted a low cross from the left right in front of goal (1–0). Just ten minutes later, the second FK goal arrived: Nyitra launched a solo run from the left touchline, cut inside, and from a tight angle scored a stunning goal, curling the ball inside the near post (2–0).
In the middle of the second half, the visitors created a couple of dangerous actions, but Antonucci was alert, pulling off brilliant saves to keep the scoreline intact. In the last minute of the game, after several earlier penalty appeals, the referee finally awarded a spot-kick for FK, confidently converted by Tóth-Pál Előd (3–0). There was still time for another spectacular save from Antonucci, and Viitorul eventually had to leave Miercurea Ciuc without a goal and without points.
