Activities of our sports organization:
The goal of our adult team is to play at the highest possible level and include players from home. Since the fall of 2019, FK Csíkszereda has been in the second division. To facilitate the integration of our young players into the adult team, our club, relying on the generation born after January 1, 1993, who defended our U19 national championship title, started a solid team in the third division in the fall of 2022.
Our age groups consist of young players from Transylvania, in addition to talents from Székelyland. Our academy is open to everyone, but the Hungarian language of instruction is the cornerstone of our specific education and training philosophy. For years, our talents have competed in the Elite League, with the best youth academies in Romania. Our professional activity was completed in 2013 through cooperation with the Ferenc Puskás Football Academy.
Women's football and girls. In the spirit of equality of opportunity, in 2018, FK Csíkszereda expanded its activities to include women's football. Our women's team, starting from the third division, entered the top division in the spring of 2022, and at the same time, our U15 girls reached the national championship final four.
From Csíkszereda to Oradea, from Kézdivásárhely to Kraszna, or even from Székelyudvarhely to Miercurea Ciuc, our children's teams compete in domestic and international championships and tournaments, and then the most talented football players move to Székelyland to the Székelyföld Football Academy's centers for the highest level of care.
In addition to specialized professional sports training, the players of the Székelyföld Football Academy receive education and training in a family-like environment within the Márton Áron Talent Care Center. The dormitory, with 3-5 beds, private bathrooms, study corners, study rooms, a library, a chapel, and a canteen, along with the services of continuous qualified guidance, also provides spiritual care and small group study sessions led by specialist teachers. An important addition is that all our athletes who will take the baccalaureate exam in 2022 successfully passed this hurdle. For us, in addition to sporting success, the academic progress of our university faculty is also important.
Our website aims to provide an insight into the life and activities of FK Csíkszereda and the Székelyföld Football Academy, which it created and operates. In addition to chronicling the competitions of our adult male and female teams, our main goal is to present the results of our age teams quickly, accurately, and, if possible, comprehensively in the form of photos, descriptions, and moving image materials.
