The team from Brașov came from the lower half of the table, but still within reach of the play-off zone, and threw themselves into the match with great energy. Chances were created on both sides, but it was FK who made the first step towards victory, when Ioó headed Noveli’s left-wing cross into the net: 1–0. In the second half Antonucci had to remain alert, but in the final stages the visitors’ substitute Vasile solved the situation himself – through unsportsmanlike behaviour he picked up a second yellow card, leaving his team down to ten men. In the last minutes, Noveli could have doubled our lead, before Tóth-Pál scored a stunning goal into the top left corner, sealing the 2–0 victory.
With this win we strengthened our second place in the table, and in the last round of the regular season we will travel to face leaders Universitatea Cluj in Jucu.
