Szuperliga | Továbbírjuk a Dinamo elleni történetet

Once again, we meet Dinamo Bucharest – this time on Romania’s biggest stage, the National Arena – with a new chance to tilt our shared history in our favour.

Dinamo again, and once more at the National Arena. Memories of the May 2024 play-off come rushing back, but our history with the red-and-whites is special for another reason too: they were our first-ever opponents in the SuperLiga. Dinamo has often been tied to moments of celebration in Csíkszereda football – but, unfortunately, also to moments that spoiled the joy: they emerged victorious from that 2024 play-off, and during this season’s encounter in Csíkszereda, off-field events made the match memorable for the wrong reasons.

Still, we prefer to recall what happened on the pitch: after just ten minutes, we were two goals ahead thanks to Sivis’s own goal and a clever strike from Bödő, though the match ended 2–2. We also fondly remember that unforgettable Romanian Cup clash on November 1, 2018, when, as a third-tier side, we eliminated the “Red Dogs” on penalties in the Round of 16.

Saturday marks the sixth meeting between the two sides in our modern history. Although every match has been closely contested, we still owe ourselves a win in regular time. And, truth be told, such a victory would do wonders for our spirit as well.

Current form might matter less this time. Dinamo looks stable and competitive, a team capable of reaching the upper play-off, with only two defeats so far this season. But we trust that Ilyés Róbert’s side will find extra motivation for this clash.

At the pre-match press conference, the head coach – noting that we’ve just passed the halfway point of the regular season – gave a brief assessment of the team’s journey so far and shared his expectations for Saturday’s match. Players Veres Szilárd and Pap Eduard also spoke about their outlook ahead of the encounter.

The match, part of Round 16 of the SuperLiga regular season, kicks off at 17:30 on the National Arena. Our team will be accompanied by travelling supporters, while fans back home can follow the action live on DigiSport 1 and Prima Sport 1, as well as through Hungarian-language radio commentary streamed on the club’s Facebook page.
