Our U13 girls’ team recorded two impressive victories this weekend at the second home-hosted tournament of the national championship. Report by head coach Renáta Szőcs.

On Sunday, November 9, the second round of the U13 girls’ league took place, hosted by FK Csíkszereda. Our team played two matches during the day: against Colțea Brașov and Viitorul Onești, winning both with confidence.

FK Csíkszereda–Colțea Brașov 6–0
Scorers: Kata Lilla Csikós 3, Teodora Bercuț, Lara Fazakas, Léna Péter
Our first match was played against Colțea Brașov. The girls took the lead already in the 8th minute, but the first half was a bit rushed and disorganized, with many high balls. During the break we managed to calm the team, as we were already four goals ahead, so there was no reason to be nervous. The second half showed improvement, although I still wasn’t entirely satisfied. The match ended with a 6–0 home victory.

Before the second match, I had one important request for the girls: the goalkeeper should not throw the ball but instead we should build up the attacks from the back through passing. The girls understood the task perfectly, and thanks to this, they presented a very beautiful, organized, and conscious style of play. The team’s development was clearly visible, and the result reflected it: a 12–0 win.

Coach’s opinion – Continuous progress and hard work

Since the first round, the team’s development has been clearly noticeable. We believe that consistent, hard work always brings results – and this was proven once again. There is no stopping: we continue working to correct our shortcomings by the spring round and to present an even more complex and conscious style of football.
Until then, we aim to play more friendly matches against both boys’ and girls’ teams to continue growing and gaining experience.
We also thank the supporters and parents for their presence – the home crowd and loud support always give the team extra strength.
